Madhya Pradesh: Court Delivers Life Sentence in Gruesome Murder Case

Bhopal, Dec 13 (NationPress) A court in Madhya Pradesh made a significant ruling on Friday regarding a case from November 2022 involving the abduction and murder of an 11-year-old boy, sentencing the main perpetrator to life in prison.

Pawan Sharma, the proprietor of a private educational institution, received a life sentence, while five other accomplices were sentenced to seven years each.

Justice Manoj Kumar delivered the verdict, also imposing a penalty of Rs 2.5 lakh on Sharma and Rs 1 lakh on each of the five co-defendants.

The tragic case centers around Aryan Sharma, an 11-year-old who was abducted while playing near R.K.D. school in Bhind district in November 2022.

The school owner, Pawan Sharma, kidnapped Aryan for ransom, motivated by significant losses incurred during the pandemic when offline education was halted.

Sharma even recorded a video of the young boy, which police found in his possession, intended to be sent to the boy's parents for ransom demands. However, he was unable to send the video due to poor Internet connectivity.

Fearing capture, the accused strangled Aryan to death and disposed of the body in an attempt to erase the evidence.

Authorities discovered Aryan's body two days later at an under-construction site located approximately 50 meters from his home in the Chandanpura area.

Six individuals, including the private school owner, Pawan Sharma, and a local journalist related to him, were apprehended in connection with the crime and faced charges of kidnapping, murder, and additional offenses.

This incident became a significant issue for the MP police, especially since Aryan's father, Virendra Sharma, serves as a constable with the Special Armed Force (SAF) in Chhattisgarh.
