Bhopal, Feb 17 (NationPress) Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on Monday that the forthcoming Global Investment Summit (GIS) in the state would be distinct from earlier events, attributing its anticipated success to the recently introduced new investment policy.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the state government has been diligently working for nearly a year to formulate an attractive investment policy, emphasizing the development of appropriate infrastructure, enhancing policies, and fostering engagement with stakeholders.

He mentioned that the groundwork for GIS commenced with the Regional Industry Conclave (RIS) held in various regions of the state over the past year. Consequently, the upcoming two-day GIS is set to significantly differ from previous iterations.

Yadav elaborated that the new investment policy targets specific sectors, including textiles, electric vehicles (EVs), food processing, and renewable energy, formulated by considering the interests of industrialists during consultations.

In further detail about the newly introduced investment policy, Yadav mentioned provisions for tax incentives, land subsidies, and electricity subsidies to attract potential investors.

Madhya Pradesh boasts a robust infrastructure along with an optimal business climate conducive to industrial growth. The state also has a skilled workforce, and the residents are known for their diligence. Furthermore, abundant raw materials are available, Yadav stated.

He assured that during the summit, industry leaders from diverse sectors will convene to share their experiences, insights, and strategies aimed at propelling industrial progress and capitalizing on opportunities within the state.

The Chief Minister also projected that, thanks to investor-friendly policies, the state's financial sector is poised for substantial growth in the next five years.

The two-day GIS will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 24 in Bhopal, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah participating in the closing ceremony on February 25.
