This collaboration aims to propel Maharashtra towards its ambition of achieving a $1 trillion economy by 2028, fostering innovation, growth, and entrepreneurship.

The official announcement indicated that the alliance between the Maharashtra government and Microsoft would significantly aid both the economic and social advancement of the state.

Three AI Centers of Excellence are set to be established statewide. One center will focus on geographical analysis, utilizing GIS and satellite imagery to support policy-making, and will be located in the Chief Secretary's office.
