Mumbai, May 31 (NationPress) Tollywood star Mahesh Babu paid tribute to his late father and iconic actor, Ghattamaneni Sivarama Krishna, on what would have been his 82nd birthday this Saturday.
Taking to Instagram, Mahesh shared a nostalgic black and white photograph of his father from his youth, complemented by a touching message that stated, “Always guided by your light. Happy birthday, Nanna! Remembering you today and always.”
Known simply as Krishna, the Telugu film legend debuted in acting with the 1965 film, Thene Manasulu.
He later starred in numerous acclaimed films such as Gudachaari 116 (1966), Mosagallaku Mosagadu (1971), Pandanti Kapuram (1972), Devudu Chesina Manushulu (1973), Alluri Seetharama Raju (1974), Ram Robert Rahim (1980), Mundadugu (1983), and Simhasaasanam (1986).
In addition to acting in over 350 films, Krishna also ventured into directing and producing.
Sadly, Krishna passed away due to a cardiac arrest on November 15, 2022, in Hyderabad.
In a poignant tribute, Mahesh expressed his sorrow with the words, “Your life was celebrated... your departure is even more celebrated... such is your greatness. You lived life boldly... you were daring and charismatic. You were my inspiration, my courage, and all that I admired are now gone. Yet, I feel a newfound strength...
