Kolkata, Nov 2 (NationPress) Mainul Haque, a former five-time Congress MLA representing the Farakka Assembly constituency in West Bengal's Murshidabad, who later transitioned to the Trinamool Congress, has sadly passed away on Sunday, as confirmed by party sources.

He was aged 63 and had suffered a cardiac arrest in September.

Since that time, he had been receiving treatment at a hospital in Kolkata. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his condition on Sunday morning.
