Chennai, June 6 (NationPress) Actress Malavika Mohanan, who stars alongside Karthi and Rajisha Vijayan in director P S Mithran's highly anticipated spy thriller ‘Sardar 2’, is currently on location filming in Bangkok.

On Friday, the actress took to Instagram to share a glimpse from the film's set in Bangkok. Reports indicate that the crew is set to film several action sequences and a musical number during this final shooting schedule.

Earlier in May, Malavika revealed in a fan Q&A that she expected to complete her work on ‘Sardar 2’ by June.

Interestingly, the production team has been hard at work for over 100 days, having wrapped up 100 days of filming in April.

In an exclusive interview with IANS, director P S Mithran confirmed that the dubbing process is also underway. “Only another five to ten percent of the film remains. Yes, dubbing is happening simultaneously,” he shared during an event for the film's prologue.

When the sequel to Sardar was announced, the producers released a promo hinting at Karthi’s character being dispatched as a spy to Cambodia. When questioned about the story's location shifting to China, Mithran clarified, “Initially, the story unfolds in Cambodia before transitioning to China.”

A recent prologue revealed that S J Suryah portrays the film's primary antagonist, known as Black Dagger.

From a technical standpoint, Sardar 2 features cinematography by George Williams, music by Sam C S, editing by Ruben, and art direction by K Kadhir. The action sequences have been choreographed by Dhilip Subbarayan, with the sequel's story crafted by M R Pon Parthipan, Roju Bipin Ragu, and Geevee.
