The dubbing process kicked off with a ceremonial pooja at a well-known dubbing studio.
This film is rumored to have the largest budget of all Karthi's projects to date.
The first installment, ‘Sardar 1’, achieved remarkable success, prompting producer Lakshman from Prince Pictures to gift director PS Mithran a Toyota Fortuner as a token of appreciation for the film's outstanding performance. Besides being a major box office success, Sardar 1 conveyed an important societal message, emphasizing the value of water conservation.
In the original film, Karthi portrayed dual roles: a RAW agent and his son, a police officer striving to restore his father's tarnished reputation. In the sequel, the son evolves into a spy for the Indian Government and embarks on a mission to Cambodia.
Sardar 1 featured a stellar cast, including Bollywood's Chunky Pandey and marked the return of renowned actress Laila to cinema. In Sardar 2, alongside Karthi and Rajesha Vijayan, the cast includes SJ Suryah, Malavika Mohanan, Aashiq Rangnath, and Sajal Ahmed, among others.
From a technical standpoint, Sardar 2 boasts cinematography by George Williams, with music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film's editing is handled by Ruben, while K Kadhir oversees art direction. Stunt choreography is led by Dhilip Subbarayan, and the screenplay is crafted by M R Pon Parthipan, Roju Bipin Ragu, and Geevee.
