Your success fortifies the framework for a brighter future. I am confident that in the days to come, our nation will achieve remarkable milestones and usher in 'Viksit Sports' alongside a developed Bharat," he added.
In the women's compound open category, para-archer Payal Nag, who is a quadruple amputee, made headlines by defeating the reigning world champion Sheetal Devi, recognized as the world’s first female limbless archer.
In an interview with IANS regarding her gold medal achievement, Payal expressed, "Winning feels fantastic, especially knowing that India has clinched both gold and silver medals. Reflecting on her journey, she shared, 'During the trials, I was placed third with a lower score, so I committed to training harder to secure a medal in Bangkok.'"
Meanwhile, Sheetal shared her excitement with IANS, stating, "I am thrilled that India won 13 medals. Today, we had the opportunity to meet the Sports Minister, who honoured us. I look forward to continuing to win more medals for India and meeting like this again. Every time we win medals, we also get to meet the Prime Minister (Narendra Modi), which motivates us to aim for more victories."
