The fraudulent account, operating under the moniker 'Manoj Tiwari BJP' on Facebook, has been utilizing Manoj Tiwari’s photos, videos, and name. It has been disseminating misleading messages, false information, and unrelated posts, jeopardizing his public image and causing confusion among the public.
On January 22, Manoj Tiwari submitted a formal complaint to the Cyber Police Station in New Delhi. He asserted that an unknown party was unlawfully using his identity, images, and videos, which is both illegal and deceptive. Following this, the cyber police conducted a preliminary inquiry, determining that the case falls under Section 66C of the Information Technology (IT) Act and Section 356(3) of the Indian Penal Code.
Consequently, an FIR has been registered at the Cyber Police Station in New Delhi. The police have promptly initiated the process to have the fake Facebook account removed.
