Shillong, April 17 (NationPress) Emphasizing his administration's dedication to revolutionizing the educational landscape, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma announced on Friday that ongoing initiatives are focused on enhancing infrastructure, increasing teacher recruitment, and guaranteeing fair access to quality education, especially in rural and remote areas.
Speaking at a recognition event at Babelapara Higher Secondary School in South West Garo Hills, Sangma labeled education as a principal concern for his government.
He emphasized that a strong and progressive strategy is vital to close the existing gaps within the system.
Among the significant reforms, the Chief Minister introduced the Structured Pay Framework (SPF) for fixed-pay teachers, aimed at establishing a transparent, fair, and sustainable pay structure.
