Bhopal, Dec 2 (NationPress) In a startling turn of events, Adal Kasana, the senior leader and Agriculture Minister in the BJP-led Madhya Pradesh government, collapsed at the state Assembly premises while entering the House on the second day of the ongoing Winter Session on Tuesday. The Congress party continues its uproar during the second day of the MP Assembly.

Upon witnessing Minister Adal Kasana suddenly fall to the ground, security personnel along with numerous other Ministers and MLAs from both the BJP and Congress rushed to his aid.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, who had also just arrived at the Assembly, inquired about Kasana's condition.

Although Kasana regained consciousness shortly after his collapse, he was taken to a hospital via ambulance for a medical evaluation. Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar paused House proceedings for a few minutes in light of the incident.

Prior to the minister's fainting, members of the Opposition had staged a symbolic protest, drawing attention to farmers' issues, particularly concerning compensation for damaged crops, Minimum Support Price (MSP), and loan waivers.

Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar told the media, "Farmers in Madhya Pradesh are not receiving adequate compensation for their damaged crops. They are compelled to sell their produce at low rates, leading to an alarming rate of farmer suicides in the state."

Meanwhile, senior Congress MLA and former CM Kamal Nath expressed his concerns to the media, stating that corruption and crime are rampant under the Mohan Yadav administration.

In response to these allegations, senior BJP leader and Minister Karan Singh Verma asserted that the Yadav government has allocated over Rs 2000 crore to compensate farmers for their losses.

"They are in Opposition and entitled to raise issues, but they are making baseless accusations against the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh. Protecting farmers is our government's top priority," Verma remarked.

It is noteworthy that the five-day Winter Session of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly commenced on Monday and is set to conclude on December 5.
