New Delhi, Oct 21 (NationPress) The Ministry of Steel reported on Tuesday that an impressive 96% of its public grievance redressal objectives have been accomplished under the ongoing Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM) 5.0, underscoring its dedication to effective governance and operational excellence.
The campaign, which is active from October 2 to October 31, aims to streamline administrative processes by resolving pending issues linked to Members of Parliament (MPs), the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), VIPs, the Cabinet, and State Governments, along with grievances logged in the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS).
“The achievement of 96% of public grievance redressal targets has already been reached,” the Ministry of Steel confirmed in its announcement.
As reported, remarkable advancements have been noted thus far, including the removal of 8,525 physical files and the execution of 195 cleanliness initiatives, against a goal of 282.
“A total of 8,525 physical files have been effectively weeded out,” they stated.
The processing of scrap, e-waste, and obsolete documents has also contributed to freeing up approximately 9,851 square feet of office space.
Numerous Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) under the Ministry of Steel have adopted innovative practices in record management and grievance handling, setting new standards for efficiency and transparency.
“Several CPSEs within the Ministry have established best practices in record management and grievance resolution, creating benchmarks for other departments,” the ministry further noted.
The ministry reiterated its commitment to fostering cleanliness, enhancing workflow, and ensuring the timely resolution of public grievances, aligning with the government's broader agenda for administrative reforms and effective governance.
“The Ministry of Steel remains committed to boosting efficiency, promoting cleanliness, and ensuring the timely resolution of outstanding matters in line with the overarching goals of administrative reform and transparency,” it concluded.
