New Delhi, April 14 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed heartfelt wishes to the public on Baisakhi, emphasizing the festival's themes of gratitude, rejuvenation, and optimism while honoring the crucial contributions of farmers to the nation's welfare.

In a message posted on X, the Prime Minister remarked, “Sending warm wishes on the festive occasion of Baisakhi. This lively festival embodies the essence of gratitude, renewal, and hope. It honors the tireless efforts of our farmers, whose commitment ensures our sustenance. Baisakhi also holds profound spiritual meaning as it commemorates the inception of the Khalsa Panth by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The wisdom of our esteemed Sikh Gurus continues to motivate us in our collective journey toward enhancing society. May this festival usher in joy, prosperity, and invigorating energy for all.”

The Prime Minister's statement highlighted both the agricultural and spiritual significance of this festival, celebrated widely in Punjab and various regions as a harvest celebration and a cultural landmark signifying new beginnings.

Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, also shared his greetings on X, sending well-wishes to the populace during this festive time.

“Sincere greetings to everyone on Baisakhi. May this festival bestow abundant joy and prosperity upon your lives,” he expressed.

Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge also shared a message of goodwill, acknowledging various regional celebrations, including Baisakhi, Bohag Bihu, Puthandu, Poila Baisakh, Biju, and Maha Bishuba Pana Sankranti. He mentioned that these festivals signify the onset of the new year across different regions in India, bringing renewed optimism and a sense of fresh starts.
