New Delhi, March 30 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday highlighted how the myriad of festivals celebrated throughout India illustrate the nation's profound diversity.
In the 120th episode of his monthly radio show Mann Ki Baat, he conveyed warm wishes to citizens on the occasion of Chaitra Navratri and several other festivals, including Eid.
During the broadcast, PM Modi relayed messages from individuals across the nation, who shared their heartfelt greetings for Navratri, Gudi Padwa, Vishu, and the Hindu New Year.
Emphasizing the importance of these celebrations, he stated, "Today and in the coming days, the New Year is commencing in various states of our country, with all these messages reflecting wishes for the New Year and different festivals. Thus, people have sent me greetings in numerous languages."
Discussing the regional significance of the festivals, the Prime Minister remarked, "Today, Ugadi is being celebrated with great enthusiasm in Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh. Simultaneously, Gudi Padwa is being observed in Maharashtra. In various states of our diverse nation, Rongali Bihu in Assam, Poila Baisakh in Bengal, and Navreh in Kashmir will also be celebrated."
He also highlighted the upcoming festive period, stating, "From April 13-15, there will be grand festivities across different regions of the country. An atmosphere of excitement surrounds us, especially with the approach of Eid. This entire month is rich with celebrations. I extend my greetings to everyone in the country on these occasions."
