New Delhi, March 16 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday criticized Pakistan for its involvement in promoting and supporting terrorism from its territory, emphasizing that all global terror activities today trace their origins back to this neighboring nation.

In an extensive interview with US podcaster Lex Fridman, PM Modi highlighted that Pakistan has become the epicenter of terrorism, inflicting serious pain not just on India but across the globe.

“Wherever terror strikes worldwide, the evidence points to Pakistan. Take the September 11 attacks, for instance. The primary architect, Osama bin Laden, found refuge in Pakistan. The global community has recognized that the terrorist mindset is fundamentally entrenched in Pakistan. Today, it stands as a hub of terror, affecting not just India but the entire world,” PM Modi noted.

Moreover, the Prime Minister strongly advised the neighboring country to forsake its self-destructive path of terrorism for the benefit of its citizens.

He asserted that the people of Pakistan deserve a future devoid of violence and fear, expressing hope that they would learn from their past and choose a more positive direction.

“We have consistently questioned what benefits arise from this path. We have implored them to abandon state-sponsored terrorism permanently. What do you expect to achieve by yielding your nation to chaotic forces?” he remarked.

Regarding his attempts to promote peace with Pakistan, PM Modi shared with Lex Fridman India’s genuine endeavors for reconciliation and recalled his visit to Lahore to invite his Pakistani counterpart to his swearing-in ceremony, which regrettably was met with hostility.

“Upon assuming office, I specifically invited Pakistan to my swearing-in ceremony to initiate a new era. Yet, every noble effort to foster peace was met with betrayal and hostility. We earnestly hope that they will opt for the path of peace,” he added.
