Additionally, Mohan Yadav will introduce a new initiative from the Forest Department known as ‘Mahakal Van Prasadam’, as mentioned in a statement from the Chief Minister’s office on Tuesday.

The ‘Mahakal Van Mela’ is themed around ‘prosperous forests, happy people’ and will run from February 11 to February 16. This marks the inaugural edition of a Van Mela in the revered city of Ujjain, according to government sources.

The event aims to foster the display, conservation, enhancement, processing, and marketing of non-timber forest produce sourced from forest communities across the state.

Participants will include collectors of non-timber forest produce, members of Van Dhan Kendras, Primary Minor Forest Produce Cooperative Societies, traders, and representatives from the herbal and Ayurvedic sectors, showcasing and selling their offerings.

Visitors will enjoy amenities such as a kids’ zone, wheelchair and golf cart access, seating arrangements, water stations, and selfie points. The fair will also feature buyer-seller meetings, complimentary medical consultations by Ayurvedic practitioners and traditional healers, engaging cultural programs, and a selection of traditional food.

Highlights of the event will encompass a massive sculpture of a cheetah family and dinosaurs, wheelchair and golf cart services for the elderly, dedicated seating for patients attending the OPD, free bus transportation from the Mahakal temple to the fairgrounds, and an entertaining kids’ zone for young attendees.
