This year marks numerous milestones for the event, with 14,059 runners aiming to complete the full marathon distance for the first time, as well as a notable rise in registrations for the Half Marathon and Open 10K categories.
Organizers have observed a steady increase in female participants, a rise in timed runners, and greater engagement from various communities through the Dream Run.
The marathon's influence extends far beyond athletics. In 2025, the Tata Mumbai Marathon contributed an impressive Rs 530.59 crore to the socio-economic landscape, solidifying its role as a key economic engine for the city.

Rajesh Aggarwal, Chief Secretary of the Government of Maharashtra, expressed, “The Tata Mumbai Marathon has, over the last twenty years, positively influenced both the physical health of the population and the economic vitality of the city. It not only supports runners but also benefits airlines, hotels, and local vendors, establishing it as a robust economic driver.
“The event brings Mumbai together, inviting participants from all over India and the world to become Mumbaikars for a few days. The Maharashtra Government and police are committed to ensuring safety, smooth operations, and a wonderful experience for everyone,” he added.
