New Delhi, Nov 18 (NationPress) In response to the recent explosion in Delhi, the Mumbai Police has declared a high alert throughout the city. Enhanced vigilance measures and fortified security protocols have been put in place, with authorities closely monitoring all sensitive locations.

A senior official from the Mumbai Police conveyed that terrorism now stands as one of the most significant threats faced by major cities across the nation. He highlighted that the risk to urban areas is being taken with utmost seriousness, and every conceivable precaution is being prioritized to safeguard public welfare.

The official remarked that previously, those involved in terrorist acts were generally less educated or uneducated. However, since 2006–2007, this pattern has witnessed a notable shift. An increasing number of young men from educated backgrounds and financially secure families are becoming involved with terrorist factions. This change, he noted, presents a greater challenge for security forces, as these individuals are often more elusive.

To combat this trend, the Mumbai Police is committed to ensuring that the city’s youth are steered away from harmful or extremist ideologies. Various public awareness initiatives, counseling programs, and preventive strategies are actively in motion.

When a young person is discovered engaging in dubious activities, the police collaborate closely with their families, community leaders, and responsible citizens to redirect them positively.

The Mumbai Police also emphasized that effective terrorism control is unattainable without community support. They asserted that only through combined efforts of law enforcement and vigilant residents can major cities be shielded from such emerging dangers.

In related news, regarding the Delhi Red Fort explosion, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has initiated a coordinated enforcement operation on Tuesday, executing searches at over 25 locations associated with the Al-Falah group.

The raids commenced around 5 a.m., focusing on the university’s headquarters in Okhla, its Jamia Nagar office, and various sites connected to the institution’s trustees. Security has been augmented in the area as ED teams persist in their investigations.

This university came under scrutiny after three doctors affiliated with it were identified as suspects in the Red Fort blast incident.

The central agency’s actions follow directives from the government to scrutinize the university’s funding. A forensic audit of its financial accounts has been ordered, and the Delhi Police’s Economic Offences Wing has also been involved.

While the NIA is spearheading the investigation into the blast, the ED and the Economic Offences Wing are examining the university’s financial operations and overall conduct.
