Additionally, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be visiting Gwalior and Rewa on December 25 for the Abhyuday Madhya Pradesh Growth Summit, marking his inaugural attendance.

During this visit, he will present letters of intent to investors who are poised to inject a total of Rs 2 lakh crore into the state, according to Rakesh Singh following a state cabinet meeting on Monday.

Moreover, the Union Home Minister will also inaugurate the Gwalior Mela virtually and will supervise the Krishi and Kisan Sammelan, including visits to Gau Vansh and Vanya Bihar.

Infrastructure developments include the four-laning of the 65 km Barwah-Dhamnod road under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM/HEM scheme) by MPRDC, as noted by the minister.

This project, worth Rs 2,500 crore, connects two national highways and traverses the sacred site of Maheshwar, with the state contributing Rs 900 crore over a span of 15 years (60 percent share).

Current vehicle speeds on this road, typically ranging from 25-30 km/h, are expected to increase to 100 km/h upon project completion, he added.

Furthermore, the cabinet has sanctioned Rs 197 crore for the establishment of a law university, while Rs 434 crore (with a state share of Rs 147 crore) will finance a Weather Information Network featuring automatic rain gauges in every village panchayat and advanced systems at tehsil levels to facilitate crop insurance and data collection.

The Mukhyamantri Vrindavan Gram Yojana promotes cow conservation and rural self-sufficiency, he stated.

Villages with a minimum of 2,000 residents and 500 cows are eligible; among the 230 assembly constituencies, 193 have selected sites, with 37 remaining for this initiative, the minister noted, adding that the cabinet has urged for the expeditious implementation of the scheme.
