Bhopal, May 29 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to present numerous initiatives to the residents of Madhya Pradesh during his upcoming visit to Bhopal on May 31, as stated by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday.
The Chief Minister noted that Prime Minister Modi will conduct a virtual bhoomi-pujan for the construction of ghats along the Kshipra River, which forms part of the preparations for Simhastha 2028.
A development project spanning over 29 km from Shani Mandir to Nagda Bypass in the sacred city of Ujjain will be undertaken at an investment of Rs 778.91 crore.
Furthermore, he will lay the groundwork for additional water management structures worth over Rs 80 crore, including barrages, stop dams, and vented causeways across Dhar, Ujjain, Indore, Dewas, and surrounding districts.
PM Modi will also unveil a commemorative postage stamp and launch a Rs 300 coin and postage stamp honoring Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai.
In addition, he will recognize a talented woman artist for her outstanding contributions to tribal, folk, and traditional arts with the National Devi Ahilyabai Award.
The Prime Minister will virtually inaugurate two newly built airports, one in Datia and the other in Satna, along with the first phase of the Indore Metro Rail.
“May 31, 2025 will signify a transformative epoch in the social, cultural, and infrastructural landscape of Madhya Pradesh—a reflection of women’s empowerment inspired by Devi Ahilyabai and development steered by Prime Minister Modi’s vision,” Chief Minister Mohan Yadav remarked.
A grand event at Bhopal's Jamboree Maidan is anticipated to attract around two lakh women from all over the state.
Meanwhile, in response to the Prime Minister's scheduled visit, the opposition Congress plans to hold a mega rally titled 'Jai Hind Sabha' in Jabalpur, approximately 350 km from Bhopal, featuring several prominent leaders, including former Chief Minister Kamal Nath and state unit chief Jitu Patwari on May 31.
