Rewa (Madhya Pradesh), Jan 31 (NationPress) Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on Saturday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led government in Madhya Pradesh is committed to preserving its rich heritage while establishing new benchmarks in religious tourism.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the state is actively working on developing 13 significant projects at major religious sites, known as spiritual corridors. Notable among these projects are 'Mahakal Lok' in Ujjain, 'Pashupatinath Lok' in Mandsaur, 'Raja Ram Lok' in Orchha, and 'Chitrakoot Dham' in Satna, several of which are already completed.

During the inauguration of an expansion project worth Rs 17.13 crore at the Bhairavnath temple in the Gurh Assembly constituency of Rewa, Yadav reaffirmed the government's commitment to transforming Chitrakoot into a magnificent spiritual hub, with development initiatives amounting to Rs 3,000 crore planned for the area, assuring ongoing financial backing.

Moreover, he revealed plans for a new industrial zone covering 100 acres in Gurh to generate job opportunities for the youth.

In a separate event in Rewa, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the expansion of Shyam Shah Medical College, promising that the new facility will accommodate over 2,400 beds.

“Our government is tirelessly working to enhance accessible, high-quality, and modern healthcare services across the state, ensuring that every citizen can access superior medical facilities,” Yadav stated.

He emphasized the equal significance of both rural and urban areas in the state's developmental agenda, announcing the establishment of a cancer unit at Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital (SGMH) with an investment of Rs 322 crore.

“In the coming two years, Madhya Pradesh will establish 50 medical colleges, contributing over 10,000 new doctors to our healthcare system annually, thereby strengthening our services,” Yadav added.

Local BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, alongside other BJP MLAs from the district, attended the event.
