Patna, Oct 13 (NationPress) Following the unveiling of the seat-sharing strategy for the Bihar Assembly elections, the constituents of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) are set to reveal their contesting candidates later today, as stated by Bihar BJP chief Dilip Jaiswal.
In a press briefing in Patna, Jaiswal remarked, "I have consistently emphasized that all NDA partners will approach the elections with unwavering unity. We have taken the lead in announcing the seat-sharing details, and from this evening, we will commence the announcement of candidates who will vie in the Bihar electoral arena."
When asked about the discontent within the alliance regarding the seat-sharing plan, the BJP leader expressed confidence that all NDA members are ready for the critical electoral challenge, guided by the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Previously, HAM leader Jitan Ram Manjhi affirmed that the NDA is entering the elections united and cohesive, under the insightful leadership of PM Modi.
BJP leader and Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha stated that the NDA has reached decisions based on consensus, prioritizing the interests of the people of Bihar, which will lead to triumph in the upcoming elections.
“It will also establish a government with a significant majority and boost Bihar's development,” he informed reporters.
It is noteworthy that the NDA declared the seat-sharing arrangement for the Bihar Assembly elections on Sunday. The BJP and Nitish Kumar-led Janata Dal(U) are prepared to field candidates in 101 constituencies each, while Chirag Paswan's LJP (Ram Vilas) will contest on 29 seats. The Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), led by Jitan Ram Manjhi, and the Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM), under Upendra Kushwaha, have been assigned six seats each.
The first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections is scheduled for November 6 and the second phase on November 11. The counting of votes will take place on November 14.
