Patna, Oct 9 (NationPress) The President of Bihar BJP, Dilip Jaiswal, announced on Thursday that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is set to unveil its seat-sharing strategy and the list of candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections in the next two to three days.
While addressing the media in Patna, Jaiswal mentioned that senior party leaders have conducted an extensive meeting at the state headquarters to finalize the candidates.
“We deliberated on the candidate names for both the BJP's current seats and those that we lost in the previous election. The names are now finalized, and the official list will be disclosed by the party’s parliamentary committee shortly. We have accomplished all the preparatory work,” he stated.
Regarding the ongoing seat-sharing negotiations among NDA allies, Jaiswal expressed that the discussions are progressing positively.
“The seat-sharing discussions are moving in the right direction. We are like the five Pandavas with our five constituent partners, and we stand united. Chirag Paswan, Jitan Ram Manjhi, and Upendra Kushwaha are with us and are pleased. The formula will be revealed at the right moment,” he remarked.
His remarks followed a request from Jitan Ram Manjhi, leader of the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), who publicly asked for 15 seats for his party in the forthcoming elections.
Taking a jab at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav regarding his pledge to provide government jobs to one member of every family, Jaiswal deemed the claim unrealistic.
“Tejashwi Yadav made that statement out of frustration. He fails to recognize that there are criteria and limited positions in government service. Such promises are childish and impractical,” the BJP leader criticized.
Emphasizing that development is the hallmark of the NDA, Jaiswal asserted that the people of Bihar have faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
“Development equates to Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar. The transformation in Bihar’s road infrastructure reflects their commitment. People trust the assurances of PM Modi and the double-engine government,” he concluded.
