B.T. Naidu, nominated by the TDP for a second consecutive term as MLC, stated that this is the first time someone from the backward classes has been re-nominated for a second term.

He emphasized that the TDP has nominated candidates from marginalized sections. B.T. Naidu and Ravichandra Yadav belong to the backward classes, while Kavali Garishma hails from the Scheduled Caste. She is the daughter of senior TDP leader and former Speaker Pratibha Bharati.

Garishma expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh for selecting her as the party candidate. She aims to bring forth people’s issues in the Council.

Lokesh remarked that the TDP has once again demonstrated its commitment to the welfare of disadvantaged groups by nominating all three candidates from these backgrounds.

He added that Garishma has been given a ticket to promote young women. He assured that all dedicated party members would be recognized with positions, encouraging those who did not receive MLC nominations not to be disheartened.
