Patna, Nov 4 (NationPress) As the campaigning for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections came to a close on Tuesday, the BJP proclaimed a robust wave in favor of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
BJP leader Rohan Gupta stated: "The situation is unmistakable — there exists a wave favoring the NDA. Voters perceive this election as a contest between effective governance and misrule, between ‘Jungle Raj’ and development. The triumph will belong to progress and competent administration. The electorate has experienced 20 years of good governance while also recalling the era of Jungle Raj; they have not forgotten that time. The public recognizes that the current wave of development under the NDA needs to persist. They will reject Jungle Raj and opt for stability and growth, facilitating an NDA victory.
BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain remarked: "Today marks the end of election campaigning. It is evident that the Mahagathbandhan is lagging significantly. The Congress is not contesting with its full strength, unlike the vigor displayed during the ‘Ghuspaithiya Bachao Yatra.’ It appears that the Congress is undermining the RJD, leading to the near-collapse of the Mahagathbandhan’s campaign. In contrast, the NDA has engaged in a vigorous and dynamic campaign."
BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo added: "The election campaign for 121 seats will conclude this evening. We are optimistic about achieving nearly 70 percent of our target for a clear majority. In Bihar, it is NDA all the way — the wave is distinctly visible at rallies led by the Prime Minister, our national president, and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The public is enthusiastic and united in their rejection of Tejashwi Yadav and the return of Jungle Raj."
Campaigning for the first phase will officially end at 5 p.m. on Tuesday across 121 assembly constituencies spanning 18 districts. Voting for this phase is scheduled for November 6 under stringent security measures.
On the final day of campaigning, prominent campaigners and senior leaders from all major political alliances — including the NDA, Mahagathbandhan, and others — will make their final efforts to attract voters through rallies, public meetings, and roadshows.
