Have NDA Leaders Condemned Mahagathbandhan's Poll Promises?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Patna, Oct 28 (NationPress) NDA leaders strongly criticized the Mahagathbandhan's pre-election promises for Bihar, labeling them “unfounded” and cautioning that the populace will not permit the state to revert to “jungle raj”.
Union Minister Chirag Paswan challenged the Opposition's pledges, questioning their feasibility and financial backing.
“These promises are unfounded. Anyone can make claims. The real question is, how will they deliver on these promises? How will they secure government jobs for every household in Bihar? Do we possess that budget? This is not merely about declarations but about actualizing commitments,” Paswan informed reporters.
He further expressed skepticism regarding the Opposition's economic strategies, asking, “The promises are irrelevant unless there is revenue generation. What is the plan of the Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly for generating revenue?”
Paswan took a jab at the Opposition, asserting that the NDA government, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, had initiated multiple welfare schemes that were later replicated by their adversaries.
“Who initiated JEEViKA? Today, the Opposition and their allies express concerns about it. Who truly launched JEEViKA? Before 2005, when the NDA government came to power under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, this program was nonexistent,” he stated.
Paswan reaffirmed that the NDA's vision is clear – ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ – and emphasized that the coalition will persist in its efforts to ensure inclusive growth and stability within the state.
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, during a discussion with IANS, ridiculed the Opposition's aspirations for leadership.
“Tejashwi Yadav once claimed that Rahul Gandhi is the face for Prime Minister, and Rahul Gandhi directed Congress leaders to state that Tejashwi Yadav is the Chief Ministerial contender. However, people often indulge in daydreams – some envision becoming Prime Minister, while others see themselves as Chief Minister – but upon awakening, the truth remains unchanged; they are who they were,” he remarked.
Maurya stressed that the residents of Bihar will not allow the state to descend into lawlessness.
“The people of Bihar will not entrust the state to Tejashwi Yadav and let it again be engulfed in the flames of jungle raj,” he asserted.
Expressing optimism about the NDA's future, Maurya stated, “The NDA is set to recreate its success from 2010 to 2025. The environment is evidently in its favor, and the citizens of Bihar are firmly aligned with the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.”
“Support for them is consistently rising because people recognize that if jungle raj returns, stepping out of homes will again become perilous. Criminals, mafias, and rioters, armed with bombs, pistols, and AK-47s, will roam freely with no one to restrain them,” he concluded.
