New Delhi, Nov 14 (NationPress) Leaders from the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) celebrated the coalition's resounding success in the Bihar Assembly elections, interpreting it as a strong mandate for development and a clear dismissal of the so-called “false narratives” propagated by the Opposition.
Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat remarked that the election outcomes reflected the public's trust in the BJP-led alliance.
“The manner in which the NDA triumphed under the BJP’s guidance signifies a victory for development and trust. This win serves as a firm rebuttal to those who attempted to mislead the populace with their deceptive narratives, signaling an end to jungle raj,” he stated in an interview with IANS.
In a similar vein, BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj expressed gratitude to voters for rejecting the “politics of deception” associated with the Congress and the RJD.
Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra emphasized that the mandate illustrated that Bihar's voters looked beyond caste-based considerations. “The electorate demonstrated unwavering trust in Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar,” he noted.
Delhi Assembly Deputy Speaker Mohan Singh Bisht remarked that the verdict acknowledged efforts to eradicate lawlessness in the state.
Previously, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the BJP-led NDA’s remarkable performance in the Bihar elections represented a mandate against the 'jungle raj' and appeasement strategies of the Mahagathbandhan parties.
While addressing a gathering of party workers and supporters at the BJP headquarters, PM Modi conveyed that he had made two specific appeals to the Bihar electorate: to vote in unprecedented numbers and to provide a robust mandate to the NDA. He added that the people of Bihar responded favorably to his request and granted the NDA a strong mandate.
“The citizens of Bihar have voted for a developed Bihar. They have opted for a prosperous Bihar. Throughout the election campaign, I had urged the people of Bihar for a record turnout, and they have exceeded all expectations. I asked for a substantial victory for the NDA, and the people of Bihar have honored this plea as well,” he stated.
In a critique of the Muslim-Yadav (MY) coalition promoted by the RJD as its support base for appealing to particular demographics, he asserted that the youth of Bihar have embraced a new MY formula for such groups.
“The citizens of Bihar have redefined MY to mean Mahila and Youth. Their aspirations have completely overshadowed the MY formula advanced by certain parties for their own political gain,” he concluded.
