Lonato del Garda (Italy), July 10 (NationPress) The International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) has officially announced that New Delhi will be the venue for the 2027 combined shooting World Cup and the 2028 Junior World Championships.
The ISSF stated, "Next year, New Delhi will also be the site of an ISSF World Cup leg encompassing all three disciplines (rifle, pistol, and shotgun), with the exact dates to be revealed later."
This announcement was made after the ISSF Executive Committee and Council meetings held on July 9 during the ISSF World Cup in Lonato del Garda.
Later this year, New Delhi is set to host the ISSF Junior World Cup from September 24 to October 2, marking the second Junior World Cup of the season, which follows the event in Suhl, Germany, from May 19 to 27.
The Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi will also feature in the 2024 calendar, serving as the venue for the season-ending ISSF World Cup Final in October.
The executive council has confirmed that Daegu and Cairo will host the 2027 ISSF World Championships for Rifle/Pistol and Shotgun, respectively.
Daegu, a southern city in South Korea, will be the host for the 2027 ISSF World Championship Rifle/Pistol, while Cairo will host the 2027 ISSF World Championship Shotgun.
The ISSF World Cup Final is also scheduled to take place in Daegu in 2027.
