Noida Unrest Exposed: Key Conspirators Arrested, Investigations Reveal Pakistan Connection
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Noida, April 16 (NationPress) The police in Noida have reported a significant development regarding the recent violence involving workers in Gautam Buddh Nagar, revealing that the turmoil was the outcome of a carefully planned conspiracy. Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh announced on Thursday that three primary conspirators behind the disturbances have been pinpointed.
Of these individuals, two suspects—Rupesh Roy and Manisha Chauhan—have been apprehended, while the third, Adiya Anand, remains at large.
Investigators assert that all three were present in Noida during the unrest and allegedly made incendiary speeches to provoke the labor force.
The investigation has also uncovered a concerning social media aspect. Authorities have identified two Twitter accounts—Meer Ilayasi and Ayushi Tiwari—that were allegedly utilized to disseminate misleading and inflammatory information.
Initial findings indicate that these accounts were reportedly operated from Pakistan using VPN services and had been active for approximately three months.
Given the potential cross-border implications, central intelligence agencies such as the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) have become involved in the investigation.
To date, law enforcement has filed 13 FIRs related to the violence and has arrested 62 individuals. Those detained include alleged conspirators, arsonists, and other offenders.
Officials noted that the majority of those involved were outsiders who sought to disrupt the peace in the area.
The situation in Noida has stabilized, although security measures remain stringent. Police have initiated flag marches and enhanced patrolling under a sector-based deployment plan. Industrial operations have resumed, and laborers are returning to their jobs.
In parallel, the Uttar Pradesh government has declared an increase in minimum wages for workers and has suggested forming a Wage Board to manage future conflicts.
Authorities are actively working to implement the agreements reached with laborers to rebuild trust within the community.
The police have reiterated their commitment to taking strict measures against those involved in violence, vandalism, or any actions aimed at disrupting public order. Legal actions will also be pursued under the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, according to police statements.
Ongoing raids are being conducted to apprehend the absconding suspect, and further investigations are in progress.
