Bhubaneswar, June 4 (NationPress) Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday highlighted the necessity for a transparent, responsive, and citizen-centric revenue administration.
While participating in the State-Level Revenue Officers’ Conference at Lok Seva Bhawan, Majhi strongly advocated for zero tolerance towards corruption, particularly in land transactions, warning that any irregularities—especially regarding tribal and scheduled caste land dealings—will face stringent penalties.
“Such unlawful transactions seldom occur without the awareness of tehsildars. If you are found to be complicit, you will be held accountable,” he cautioned.
The Chief Minister also emphasized that his government’s foremost aim is to reach the unreached—those historically marginalized and disadvantaged.
He urged officials to safeguard valuable government lands from encroachments and to address land-related issues like mutation and partition with utmost transparency and within required timelines.
“We are preparing several reforms in the revenue sector shortly. While resolving land disputes, remember you are delivering justice. Conduct yourselves with integrity,” stated CM Majhi.
