These initiatives are anticipated to generate over 59,000 jobs.
The sectors involved in these industrial projects encompass green energy equipment, metals and downstream industries, textiles and apparel, plastics, tourism, agriculture and food processing, defence production, information technology, automobiles, and cement. They will be distributed across various districts, significantly boosting the state’s economic landscape.
The Chief Minister remarked that this marks a new and significant chapter in the journey towards a ‘Samruddha Odisha’.
He emphasized that this is a true manifestation of the ongoing second industrial revolution within the state. He believes that Odisha is transitioning from mere commitment to actual implementation, and from potential to real prosperity, fulfilling its promises.
Majhi further asserted that in the next two to three years, Odisha will not just be a land of potential but will have transitioned to a state of prosperity.
He stated that in the upcoming years, Odisha will establish itself as a fully developed and prosperous state on the global platform.
The creation of 59,000 jobs is a significant milestone. The Chief Minister highlighted that over the previous 18–20 months, 109 projects worth approximately Rs 2.5 lakh crore have been inaugurated or are underway, leading to around 1.76 lakh employment opportunities.
Today's event alone has attracted investments exceeding Rs 40,000 crore and is expected to create 59,000 jobs.
He also mentioned that products previously imported will now be produced locally in Khordha.
He deemed this achievement a source of pride and honor. Goods manufactured in Odisha will reach international markets, enhancing the state’s industrial framework towards self-reliance. These industrial initiatives are crucial for realizing an Atmanirbhar Bharat, added Majhi.
At the outset of the program, the Chief Minister engaged in a special roundtable discussion with industrialists from various states and beyond, exploring upcoming projects in the state.
He assured that the government of Odisha is dedicated to providing all necessary assistance for industrial advancement.
