Bhubaneswar, Jan 28 (NationPress) Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced on Tuesday that the state government is prioritizing the enhancement of infrastructure to establish industries across all districts of Odisha.
During a dialogue with Chief Executive Officers from over 100 leading companies at the 'Utkarsh Odisha'- Make in Odisha conclave-2025, CM Majhi emphasized, "Our goal is to create industrial opportunities in every district of Odisha, and we are actively working on infrastructure development to realize this vision. Projects involving railways, roadways, and the port sector are underway. Moreover, industries will also be established in border districts like Malkangiri, which will stimulate economic growth in these areas and generate significant employment for the youth."
CEOs from sectors such as Steel, Green Energy, Green Ammonia, Green Hydrogen, IT, and Cement participated in discussions with the Odisha Chief Minister.
CM Majhi highlighted that now is an opportune moment for investment in Odisha, with the state's GDP currently being the highest in the country.
He also remarked that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who officially launched the mega event earlier on Tuesday, displayed enthusiasm for the business summit.
CM Majhi further stated that in Prime Minister Modi's view, Odisha has great potential for investment.
He pointed out that his government, which has been in office for seven months, has successfully organized numerous significant national-level programs in the state.
The address delivered by PM Modi at Tuesday's Utkarsh Odisha event has inspired entrepreneurs to increase their investments in the state.
"Odisha is abundant in natural resources and minerals, and with the proper utilization of these assets, Odisha can become the driving force for Viksit Bharat or a developed India. This vision of Modi ji will be realized with your support," stated CM Majhi.
On this occasion, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja encouraged CEOs of major companies to invest in Odisha, assuring that the government will offer all necessary facilities for industrial establishment.
PM Modi inaugurated the two-day 'Utkarsh Odisha'- Make in Odisha Conclave-2025, which is the flagship Global Investment Summit organized by the Odisha government.
The two-day conclave is being conducted at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar from January 28-29.
