In a statement on his official X account, Kambhampati expressed, "I am deeply saddened by the reports of the aircraft incident involving the plane carrying Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and others. CM Majhi also shared his condolences regarding the tragic loss of Deputy CM Pawar, labeling the event as heartbreaking.
“The news of the untimely demise of Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in an airplane accident is tragic and deeply heartbreaking. Shri Pawar ji was a dynamic politician and a dedicated public servant. In this hour of profound grief, I express my condolences to the bereaved family, colleagues, and the people of Maharashtra. Furthermore, Leader of the Opposition and former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed his shock and heartfelt condolences over Pawar's demise.

It is noteworthy that five individuals, including Ajit Pawar, tragically lost their lives in the Baramati plane crash on Wednesday morning, as per flight details.
In addition to Deputy CM Pawar, the plane—a Learjet 45 aircraft (registration VT-SSK) operated by VSR—had a personal security officer, an attendant, and two crew members: a Pilot-in-Command and a Second-in-Command.
At the time of the incident, Pawar was en route from Mumbai to Baramati to participate in a public meeting amidst ongoing elections for the Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis.
