New Delhi, May 13 (NationPress) Amid escalating tensions along the India-Pakistan border, Defence Specialist Major General (Retired) P.K. Sehgal has delivered a stark warning to Pakistan, reinforcing India's unyielding position on cross-border aggression and stating that 'Operation Sindoor' is currently on hold, not finished.
He observed that the current situation is largely manageable but emphasized that the Indian Armed Forces are fully vigilant and ready for any provocation.
“Our 'Operation Sindoor' is on hold, not over,” Maj Gen (Retd) Sehgal reiterated. “If Pakistan dares to target our civilians, educational institutions, places of worship, or community centers, the retaliation will be severe and beyond their expectations.”
Reflecting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s latest address to the nation, Maj Gen Sehgal described it as “the most powerful speech ever delivered by an Indian Prime Minister since 1947.”
He highlighted PM Modi’s assertion about India’s military capabilities and the advantages of indigenous weapon systems.
“The global community has now acknowledged India's self-developed missile systems, such as the Akash missile and air defense systems, which are not only state-of-the-art but also straightforward to maintain, operate, and sustain,” he stated.
Maj Gen Sehgal compared India’s military assets to Pakistan’s reliance on Chinese imports, asserting, “Indian weaponry is top-notch, and international demand for it is increasing.”
He also pointed out PM Modi’s stern warning to Pakistan: “Those who attempted to erase the vermilion from our mothers’ and daughters’ foreheads underestimated the response they would incite. This is the new reality; any such action will provoke an immediate, punitive, and decisive reaction.”
While there have been no direct assaults recently, Maj Gen Sehgal confirmed sightings of drones in regions like Samba and Jammu on Monday night. “There was no drone strike, but as a precaution, flights from seven airfields have been suspended today,” he added.
In conclusion, he conveyed a broader message to the international community: “India will no longer tolerate any form of nuclear blackmail.”
