Gandhinagar, April 18 (NationPress) In a discussion about the electoral trends in Gujarat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel pointed out a notable 30-year trend indicating the opposition's absence at the grassroots level, as he addressed an audience prior to the local self-government elections in the Vav-Tharad district.
During his address at the ‘Vikas Sankalp Sabha’ held in Dima village, Patel stated: “The last three decades clearly show how the opposition has been missing from the grassroots and has distanced itself from the public.”
He emphasized that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers have consistently engaged with the community and have been active on the ground.
The Chief Minister remarked that electoral dynamics have seen a substantial transformation in recent years.
“Thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s emphasis on campaigning based on achievements, elections have shifted towards a focus on development politics,” he said, highlighting that this shift has positively impacted society and ensured that citizens receive benefits.
Patel noted that political entities must now provide a report on their activities and future plans to voters.
“The government continues to evolve based on public input and works with the trust and involvement of the public,” he stated.
Speaking about the progress in the state, Patel commented on the significant improvement in conditions compared to the past.
He recalled that there was a time when essential services like water, roads, and power were inadequately accessible, but the state has made remarkable advancements in these areas.
“Due to Prime Minister Modi’s high-aiming vision, we have witnessed a significant positive change in both the country and Gujarat,” he said.
Patel mentioned that efforts are underway to ensure that every household has access to water and that no pond remains dry by channeling additional Narmada water.
“In support of farmers, a crucial decision has been made to reclassify old and new tenure lands as old tenure in the 7/12 records without incurring any premium,” he noted.
The Chief Minister also remarked on the expansion of road infrastructure across Gujarat and shared that work has begun on setting up a GIDC at Dudhva near Dima.
On healthcare, he remarked: “The Ayushman scheme provides free treatment up to Rs 10 lakh for underprivileged and middle-class families, resulting in beneficial changes for many households.”
He stressed that inclusive growth is vital for national progress.
“For the advancement of our country, it’s crucial that even the last individual is integrated into the development process,” Patel asserted, emphasizing that the dream of a developed India necessitates the creation of a developed Gujarat through collective endeavors.
Furthermore, he urged citizens to cast their votes in large numbers for BJP candidates in the forthcoming elections.
