Mumbai, April 3 (NationPress) Actor Paramvir Singh Cheema is gearing up for an exciting collaboration with Sunny Deol in the eagerly awaited war film, “Border 2.”
In a recent conversation, Cheema expressed the exhilaration of working alongside the renowned actor and the profound influence it has had on him personally. Reflecting on his experience with Deol in the film, Paramvir shared with IANS, “Yes, that’s true. The thrilling aspect is that Border 2 is an action film—a full-scale war movie. It’s filled with action from start to finish. I’m sharing the screen with Sunny Deol. I’ve always admired him because he’s also Punjabi. Whenever we return from Punjab, our first stop is Sunny Deol’s home.”
Cheema recounted a significant moment from the filming, saying, “Yes, I met Sunny Deol himself on set. I genuinely see that as a blessing.”
Making his cinematic debut with “Border 2,” directed by Anurag Singh, Paramvir joins a stellar cast that includes Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. The film is set for a grand release on January 23, 2026.
Paramvir has showcased his talent in various projects, such as “Tabbar,” “Chamak,” “Sapne vs Everyone,” and “Black Warrant.” Discussing his versatility in roles, he stated, “I believe it’s primarily the director’s vision that guides me significantly. They envision me in distinct roles, and I infuse my interpretation into them. For instance, in Tabbar, I portrayed a cop. I proposed that we maintain a mustache since it suited the character—a young, enthusiastic Punjabi cop. Then in Chamak, there were inquiries about how it could be presented in black and white. Hence, they toned me down and asked if I could grow my hair, which I agreed to. I even suggested adding mascara because the character is a musician. These minor details collectively shape the character.”
“When embodying intense characters, looking in the mirror feels different. I don’t always see Paramveer; sometimes, I see Kala or Mangat. Each character leaves a mark on me, but eventually, I release it. For instance, in Chamak, after portraying Kala, Prashant assisted me in transitioning back to my true self,” he added.
As for future endeavors, Paramvir Singh revealed, “I’m collaborating on a film with Aanand L Rai, although I can’t disclose the title just yet. It’s an exhilarating project because I aim to work with directors who possess a strong vision. I’m also involved in a Punjabi film (details to come) and Chamak Season 2, which premieres on April 4th. There are a few other shows in the works as well.”
