Mumbai, Jan 3 (NationPress) Actor Paramvir Singh Cheema is set to portray the character of Subedar Nishaan Singh in the much-anticipated war drama, "Border 2".
In a recent social media update, Cheema revealed his father’s reaction upon sharing the news of his selection for the sequel.
He shared, "When I informed my father that I was shortlisted for Border 2, he exclaimed, ‘Eh Taan Krni He Hai’ (You have to do this). The joy was palpable; my entire family and friends were filled with happiness. This is dedicated to my loved ones (sic).
Expressing the significance of being part of the 'Border' legacy, he noted on Instagram, "Participating in such an iconic film holds immense value for me. I never envisioned my journey leading me to the sets of Border, singing the legendary line ‘Sandese Aate hai’ and performing alongside Sunny Deol and other esteemed actors."

He remarked to IANS, “Indeed, that’s accurate. The thrilling aspect is that Border 2 is an action-packed film—a comprehensive war narrative. It is filled with action from the beginning to the end. I'm sharing the screen with Sunny Deol, whom I've always respected being a fellow Punjabi. Whenever we visit Punjab, our first stop is Sunny Deol’s house.”
