Mumbai, Dec 23 (NationPress) Actress Sonam Bajwa is set to star alongside Diljit Dosanjh in the highly anticipated war drama, 'Border 2'.

In an exclusive interview with IANS, Sonam disclosed that the original film 'Border' is among her top favorite movies.

Sharing her sentimental connection, she stated, "Growing up, I can’t even recall how many times I watched Border on television. It’s one of my favourite films and holds so many childhood memories. I feel beyond grateful and truly blessed to be a part of a film like this."

Sonam elaborated on how she became involved in 'Border 2'.

She revealed that Anurag Singh, the director with whom she previously collaborated on the 2017 film 'Super Singh', reached out to her for this project.

Another interesting point is that both films feature Diljit.

Sonam commented, "Director Anurag Singh contacted me for Border 2, and we share a wonderful working relationship from before. Interestingly, both movies starred Diljit, making our collaboration in Punjab quite special."

Discussing her character, Manjeet, in 'Border 2', the actress mentioned, "In Border 2, I portray a Punjabi girl named Manjeet, who hails from Ambala and is married to Diljit Dosanjh’s character, Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon. Anurag told me I was the first person he thought of for Manjeet, which meant a lot to me. I was incredibly thrilled, as the moment I learned about Border 2, it became a dream project for me."
