Bhavnagar, Nov 17 (NationPress) Union Minister Nimuben Bambhaniya remarked on Monday that the philosophies and principles of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel continue to serve as a beacon for the youth of India, motivating them towards nation-building in a constantly evolving landscape.
“The legacy of Sardar Patel continues to inspire countless individuals. His philosophies impact the youth who will guide India in the future,” stated the Union Minister while speaking at the district-level ‘Sardar@150 Unity March’ held in Bhavnagar as part of the nationwide commemorations for the Iron Man’s 150th birth anniversary.
Bambhaniya highlighted that the Unity March has emerged as a crucial platform for engaging the youth with the nation’s shared aspirations.
She reminisced about the Iron Man’s connections to Bhavnagar and encouraged citizens to support an Aatmanirbhar Bharat by choosing local products.
The march commenced from Jashonath Circle and concluded at Mastaram Temple, spanning 8 to 10 kilometers. The event was led by Cabinet Agriculture Minister Jitu Vaghani, with participation from Union Minister Bambhaniya, Minister-in-Charge Kaushik Vekariya, and MLA Sejal Pandya.
Numerous citizens, students, youth groups, and social organizations took part in the march, chanting slogans of ‘Ek Bharat, Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ along the way.
Cultural icons Maya Ahir, Rajbha Gadhvi, Kirtidan Gadhvi, Sagardan Gadhvi, and Pareshdan Gadhvi enhanced the event’s cultural significance with their presence.
The program commenced with floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Maharaja Takhtsinhji, and B.R. Ambedkar, followed by the formal initiation of the march.
Descendants of Jadavji Modi were honored, alongside international para-athletes Alpesh Sutariya and Sangeeta Sutariya. Participants also pledged to embrace swadeshi products collectively.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Jitu Vaghani stated that Sardar Patel’s vision of national unity continues to enhance India’s developmental pathway.
“Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, initiatives like the Unity March foster patriotism, discipline, and national duty among youth,” he remarked, recalling how Bhavnagar’s Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji was the first ruler to join his princely state with the Indian Union.
He noted that the Central government has taken significant measures to construct a more robust India, “in line with Sardar Patel’s tenacity, which thwarted the nefarious designs of opposing forces.”
