Patna, Jan 17 (NationPress) In the tragic case surrounding the death of a NEET aspirant in Patna, the autopsy report has unveiled shocking details, including evidence of sexual assault, signs of struggle, and injuries to the girl's private areas.

The report suggests the possibility of multiple perpetrators being involved.

These findings starkly oppose the initial statements made by the Patna Police, which had previously dismissed the notion of sexual assault and proposed suicide as the cause of death.

According to the autopsy conducted by a medical board at Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH), the student fought back against her attackers for approximately one-and-a-half to two hours prior to her demise.

The examination revealed that all injuries on her body were inflicted before death, indicating a prolonged and violent struggle rather than a sudden medical incident.

Medical evidence shows deep crescent-shaped nail marks around her neck and shoulders, suggesting intense resistance as the victim attempted to escape while being overpowered.

This clearly indicates that the student was aware and fought for her life until the very end.

The report further notes numerous scratch marks across her chest and shoulders, not stemming from a single blow, but indicating ongoing assault.

Bruises on her back imply repeated impacts against a hard surface, suggesting the struggle lasted for an extended period.

Based on the nature and extent of the injuries, the medical board has not dismissed the possibility of multiple assailants.

The most alarming findings pertain to the genital examination, which revealed fresh injuries, significant abrasions, tissue damage, and excessive bleeding.

The medical board has unequivocally stated that these injuries are inconsistent with consensual sexual activity, strongly indicating forced penetration.

Doctors further clarified that in consensual encounters, such extensive injuries would not be present.

These medical determinations starkly contrast the police's original narrative.

Initially, the police asserted that there was no evidence of sexual assault, that the student was unconscious, and that her condition deteriorated abruptly due to an alleged overdose of sleeping pills.

However, the autopsy report substantiates signs of violent resistance, sexual assault, and injuries sustained well before death.

This inconsistency has raised significant concerns regarding the initial handling of the case.

The family claims that the hostel owner attempted to bribe them to settle the issue. Three suspects were reportedly questioned but subsequently released, leading the family to speculate whether their release was due to a lack of evidence or external influence.

The family has also suggested that an acquaintance of the victim could be involved, a lead they believe was not thoroughly investigated.

The deceased student's uncle has openly accused the police and local administration of attempting to suppress the case, labeling it a clear instance of gang rape and brutal murder.

He alleged that a police press conference was held on January 11—before the student’s death—declaring the incident a "suicide."

He further challenged police claims that 90 sleeping pills were found in the student's room, asserting that such a quantity cannot be legally procured without a medical prescription.

The family has made grave allegations against the hostel owner, hospital administration, and local law enforcement officials.

According to the girl's uncle, Dr. Satish Kumar, the management of Prabhat Memorial Hospital and Chitragupta Nagar SHO Roshni Kumari attempted to minimize the seriousness of the case.

He claimed that the family was offered as much as Rs 15 lakh to retract their complaint.

Feeling utterly disillusioned with the local authorities, the family has decided to approach the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court in search of justice.

With the autopsy report now public, the police's suicide narrative faces intense scrutiny.

Senior Superintendent of Police Kartikeya Sharma's earlier assertion that the student overdosed on sleeping pills is now being questioned, alongside the reliance on alleged 'suicide-related' internet searches found on the victim's mobile device.

The autopsy findings have rattled Bihar's administrative and law enforcement sectors, making it increasingly challenging to deny that the student endured severe physical and sexual violence prior to her death.

In light of escalating pressure, Bihar DGP Vinay Kumar has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by an officer of SP rank. The investigation will be closely supervised daily by the Patna Range IG.
