New Delhi/Chandigarh, Nov 30 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed profound delight over his recent visit to the International Gita Mahotsav in Kurukshetra, reminiscing about the sensory immersion offered by the Mahabharata Anubhav Kendra, which transforms the epic into a dynamic and almost tangible experience for attendees.
During the 128th episode of Mann Ki Baat, he shared how his visit to Kurukshetra five days prior left him feeling immensely joyful, particularly due to the innovative technology used at the Anubhav Kendra to vividly recreate significant episodes from the Mahabharata.
“While we all recognize that the legendary battle of the Mahabharata occurred in Kurukshetra, now, visitors are able to experience this historic event firsthand at the Mahabharata Anubhav Kendra,” PM Modi stated.
He highlighted that the center brings the epic to life through a comprehensive 3D light-and-sound presentation, enhanced by modern digital projection methods, resulting in an immersive atmosphere that makes a lasting impact.
“My visit to Kurukshetra on November 25 was filled with great joy at the Anubhav Kendra,” he shared with listeners, emphasizing that such projects enable younger generations and international audiences to engage with India's rich civilizational narratives in modern formats.
The Prime Minister also remarked that participating in the International Gita Mahotsav at Brahma Sarovar was “especially significant,” noting that the scale and variety of involvement reflect the Gita’s growing global influence.
“I am truly impressed to witness how individuals worldwide are drawing inspiration from the divine scripture, the Gita. The Mahotsav has seen participation from various countries, including nations in Europe and Central Asia,” he said.
PM Modi also noted that earlier this month, the Gita was publicly performed for the first time in Saudi Arabia—a development he deemed significant—while another memorable Gita Mahotsav occurred in Latvia with enthusiastic contributions from artists from Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, and Algeria.
Meanwhile, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan attended the Akhil Bhartiya Devsthanam Sammelan at the ongoing International Gita Mahotsav 2025 in Kurukshetra, where he spoke about the continuing relevance of the scripture.
He referred to the Bhagavad Gita as “a universal guide for righteous living and enlightened action,” affirming that its teachings remain a stabilizing force in an age characterized by swift social and technological changes.
He asserted that the International Gita Mahotsav reinforces India's timeless values—dharma, duty, inner excellence, and self-discipline—and provides an accessible way for individuals to reconnect with the teachings of the Gita.
Vice President Radhakrishnan added that these principles underpin the Prime Minister’s vision of Aatma Nirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat.
