Chandigarh, June 10 (NationPress) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for guiding the nation from a phase of inefficiency into an era characterized by dynamic governance, a sense of national pride, and increasing global recognition.

He referred to the last eleven years as the most transformative period in the history of independent India, where every citizen has experienced the influence of a decisive, compassionate, and effective government.

“The India of today is governed by vision rather than mere vote bank politics,” said CM Saini while addressing the media on the occasion of the completion of 11 years under the Modi administration.

He noted that prior Congress-led administrations often displayed hesitation, poor decision-making, and misplaced priorities, while Prime Minister Modi provided India with a clear vision, unwavering direction, and a steadfast commitment to public welfare and governance prioritizing the nation.

“Before 2014, the country was shrouded in an atmosphere of despair and distrust. Corruption and ineffective leadership stifled our growth, leading to a climate dominated by fear, nepotism, regionalism, and corruption, along with a complete absence of fair governance. However, under PM Modi’s leadership, India has experienced a decisive and transparent administration,” stated CM Saini.

He mentioned that when PM Modi took office in 2014, “our economy was ranked 11th globally.”

He emphasized that under the Prime Minister’s leadership, India's economy has ascended from the 11th to the fourth-largest in the world. He noted that India’s total exports soared to $825 billion in 2024-25, and engineering exports increased from $73 billion in 2014-15 to $117 billion in 2024-25.

Moreover, defense exports have surged 34 times since 2014, reaching Rs 23,622 crore in 2024-25, compared to only Rs 1,521 crore prior to 2016.

Over the past decade, India has attracted approximately $668 billion in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), a significant increase from $323 billion during the period from 2000 to 2014, as highlighted by the Chief Minister. He attributed this growth to bold initiatives such as the abrogation of Article 370, the Citizenship Amendment Act, digital and financial reforms, and anti-terror surgical strikes.

Cultural pride has also been revitalized through significant steps like the construction of the Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, explained the Chief Minister.
