Chandigarh, March 10 (NationPress) President Droupadi Murmu officially inaugurated a state-level initiative, ‘spiritual education for holistic well-being’ of Brahma Kumaris in Hisar, Haryana, marking its golden jubilee.

During her address, the President highlighted that spirituality “bridges the gaps among all humanity by transcending artificial boundaries. Any system—be it social, economic, scientific, cultural, or political—that is founded on spiritual values remains ethical and sustainable.”

“An individual who maintains a spiritual consciousness enjoys both mental and physical wellness, along with a sense of inner tranquility,” she remarked.

The President noted that a person who “achieves spiritual peace also spreads positive energy, enriching the lives of those around them.”

She stressed that the true essence of spiritual peace lies not in solitude but in fostering a healthy, robust, and flourishing society and nation.

The President expressed her satisfaction with the Brahma Kumaris’ dedication to utilizing spiritual energy for the nation’s and society’s benefit. She acknowledged their contributions to various social and national causes, including campaigns against drug abuse, women’s empowerment, and environmental preservation.

She conveyed her belief that the Brahma Kumari community would persist in enhancing the holistic health of individuals and the comprehensive development of the nation, driven by spirituality.

Recalling her visit to Haryana, the President mentioned the teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavadgita.

She emphasized that spirituality “transcends man-made divisions, uniting all of humanity. The systems established on a spiritual foundation—whether social, economic, scientific, cultural, or political—are ethical and sustainable. Presently, Brahma Kumari centers are delivering social and economic education in around 150 countries globally.”

The President noted that the Brahma Kumari organization is actively involved in numerous national and social service initiatives.

Through their commendable efforts in environmental conservation, such as the drug-free India campaign, national water conservation programs, initiatives for women’s empowerment, and 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam', “you have strategically harnessed your spiritual energy for the greater good of the nation and society.”

Previously, Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya warmly welcomed President Murmu upon her arrival in Haryana. He remarked that the Brahma Kumaris is predominantly a women's organization that has significantly contributed to the welfare of the populace.
