Patna, Nov 3 (NationPress) Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday called on the Central and state authorities to focus on job creation, industrial development, and overall progress, while speaking at a series of electoral rallies in Bihar.
She urged voters to back the Mahagathbandhan candidates and expressed her belief that the Grand Alliance would secure the next government in the state. Priyanka also criticized the NDA’s 'double-engine' governance, claiming that the state was not operating independently and crucial decisions were being made in Delhi.
During her address in Saharsa, she humorously suggested forming a 'Ministry of Insults', indicating it would allow the Prime Minister to dedicate more time to developmental tasks.
“I propose the creation of a new ministry called the 'Ministry of Insults' to handle inquiries directed at the Prime Minister. This way, he can utilize his time more effectively for development,” she remarked.
Speaking to the youth, Priyanka emphasized that when citizens demand jobs and opportunities, their inquiries should be viewed as constructive rather than adversarial. “This ministry could even catalog all remarks about my family — that alone could fill a library,” she joked.
“The NDA government in Bihar is not double-engine but single-engine, as the state’s governance is being controlled from the Centre,” she asserted.
At her second rally in Lakhisarai, Priyanka stated that the government should prioritize addressing the populace's issues rather than engaging in political squabbles.
“Students seek education, youth demand jobs, farmers require assistance — yet instead of meeting these needs, focus is shifted elsewhere,” she remarked.
Priyanka also conducted a roadshow in Rosera, Samastipur, in support of Congress and Mahagathbandhan candidates. She highlighted the increasing public dissatisfaction with the existing administration and noted that people are prepared for change.
“Citizens are weary of the BJP-JDU government’s failures and are eager for a fresh start. The expectations of the people lie with the Mahagathbandhan. The results on November 14 will demonstrate the public’s wish for transformation,” she concluded.
The Congress leader is set to hold more public engagements in the upcoming days as part of the Mahagathbandhan’s campaign in the election-bound state.
