Amaravati, April 30 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, has initiated a probe through a three-member committee regarding the tragic wall collapse at the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Simhachalam, Visakhapatnam, which led to the unfortunate demise of eight devotees.

The incident, which occurred during the early hours when devotees were queuing for tickets to participate in the annual festival, Chandanotsavam, also injured four others.

Expressing his profound grief over the incident, the Chief Minister announced a compensation of Rs 25 lakh for each family of the deceased. Additionally, he pledged employment for one family member from each of the bereaved families on an outsourcing basis within the temples managed by the Endowments Department.

For the injured, assistance of Rs 3 lakh will be provided, as the Chief Minister assured the affected families of the State government's unwavering support.
