Jaipur, Jan 20 (NationPress) The Rajasthan cabinet is set to convene on Wednesday under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, where numerous significant policy and legislative issues are anticipated to be addressed for approval.

As per official sources, the cabinet will focus on matters concerning the impending Budget Session of the Legislative Assembly, commencing on January 28.

On the inaugural day of the session, the Governor's address will take place, followed by a three-day discussion. The government's response to the address is scheduled for the fifth day of the session. During this cabinet meeting, various ordinances and amendments are expected to be evaluated and approved prior to their presentation in the Assembly. Key items on the agenda include the Rajasthan Public Trust (Amendment of Provisions) Ordinance, 2025, the Rajasthan Shops and Commercial Establishments (Amendment) Ordinance, 2025, as well as amendments concerning the Panchayati Raj Act and the Municipal Act.

Once sanctioned by the cabinet, these proposals will be forwarded to the House for legislative endorsement during the budget session.

The last gathering of the Bhajanlal Sharma cabinet was conducted on December 30, where several pivotal decisions were made. These included the endorsement of the Rajasthan Vehicle Scrapping Policy, 2025, the Rajasthan Revenue Accounts Service Rules, 2025, tax exemptions for new vehicle purchases, the Rajasthan Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) Policy, and the appointment of additional marshals in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly.

This forthcoming cabinet meeting is viewed as critical for establishing the legislative and policy framework leading up to the budget session, with anticipated decisions poised to significantly influence governance, administration, and economic activities within the state.

During the previous cabinet assembly, the Rajasthan government had ratified several noteworthy initiatives focused on environmental conservation, sustainable growth, governance, industrial development, education, and the responsible deployment of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Under CM Sharma's leadership, the cabinet sanctioned the Rajasthan Vehicle Scrapping Policy-2025 (RVSP) aimed at phasing out unfit and environmentally damaging vehicles in a scientific, safe, and ecologically sound manner. Both Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa and Public Health Engineering Minister Kanhaiya Lal emphasized that the RVSP would effectively remove unfit and polluting vehicles from the roads and ensure their destruction in compliance with scientific and environmental standards.
