Jaipur, Feb 27 (NationPress) Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Diya Kumari, addressing the budget debate on Thursday, remarked that the budget has received a positive response from all sectors.

“We are progressing in line with the principle of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. Every sector has welcomed the budget. We are advancing with the ethos of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. Some opposition members didn’t even get a chance to participate, and those who did had minimal criticism,” she stated in response to the opposition's boycott of the house following the ‘Dadi’ comment made by state minister Avinash Gehlot.

Reaffirming that the state is moving forward under the Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas principle, she compared this administration to the prior Congress government, noting that while social security pensions were delayed by up to three months during their tenure, her government has ensured timely payments up to January.

Diya Kumari emphasized the government's dedication to job creation, announcing that 59,000 jobs have already been generated, with recruitment for an additional 173,000 positions currently underway.

She rejected allegations of fiscal mismanagement as unfounded, asserting that her government is dedicated to aiding youth, women, and farmers. Referring to the ongoing construction of the Ramjal Setu Yojana, she highlighted that 58% of the commitments made in the first year have already been fulfilled, pledging to accomplish all resolutions.

She introduced several vital initiatives, including commissioning local artwork at major tourist destinations with an investment of Rs 35 crore, acquiring 55 quick response vehicles for disaster management, deploying new fire-fighting vehicles in urban regions such as Bikaner and Banswara, with a budget of Rs 1,050 crore, establishing an industrial park in Shahpura and a wood park in Lalsot, constructing separate toilets for the differently-abled, renovating 5,000 Anganwadi centers in the upcoming year, transferring 3,236 small dams from the Panchayat to the Water Resources Department to improve irrigation facilities with over Rs 240 crore allocated, and undertaking road repair and enhancement projects costing Rs 1,870 crore.

Addressing financial issues, Diya Kumari underscored that, unlike the previous government, her administration does not borrow solely for electoral gains.

“We allocate 59% of loans to develop assets, and our debt remains within the Gross State Product limits—significantly lower than what was experienced under Congress governance,” she explained.

She noted an increase in per capita income since her administration took office, countering the opposition’s conflicting statistics.

Furthermore, she mentioned that the fiscal deficit has been maintained within the boundaries set by the FRBM Act, with the state dedicating over 8% of its 2025-26 budget to the medical sector—a higher share than in other states.

Additionally, the government plans to invest over Rs 38,000 crore in education. On the energy front, she announced that the installed electricity capacity has reached 26,300 MW, with further developments in the pipeline.

She criticized the previous administration's focus on electricity purchases instead of generation and introduced a scheme to provide 150 free units of electricity to domestic consumers who install solar panels, aimed at alleviating long-term subsidy burdens.

She also announced several initiatives aimed at modernizing public services and infrastructure, including expanding healthcare with skin transplants under the Maa Yojana, incorporating robotic surgery and new medical packages, and organizing a Youth Festival alongside the Rajasthan DIGI Fest next year.

New faculties will be established in state schools and colleges, a multi-stadium is set to be constructed in Ajmer, and the Atal Innovation Award will be initiated from next year.
