Kota, Oct 27 (NationPress) In a groundbreaking shift for the education framework in Rajasthan, Education Minister Madan Dilawar declared that students from both government and private institutions will now wear a standardized uniform, eliminating the requirement for ties.
Dilawar stated: “In the near future, we will also finalize the uniform for educators. Additionally, ID cards will now be necessary for all teachers and students.”
The minister further revealed a revised academic calendar, indicating that the school year will commence on April 1 instead of the previous July 1.
“This change will ensure that students receive their textbooks promptly and have ample time for summer study,” he mentioned during a press briefing at Kota University.
In another critical update, he announced that the attendance system will now be linked to the national anthem and national song.
Emphasizing new initiatives to enforce discipline, Dilawar explained that school staff will only be marked present if they participate in the national anthem and song.
“I oversee three departments -- Panchayati Raj, Education, and Sanskrit. The offices of these departments will now begin with the national anthem and conclude with the national song,” he added.
The minister also introduced a new attendance tracking system, which will inform parents about their child's school attendance.
“Parents deserve to know if their children have made it to school. If a student is absent, a notification will be sent to the registered number in Shala Darpan,” he stated.
Dilawar mentioned that preparations for this initiative are already in progress and will be implemented shortly.
Officials indicated that the government believes that a common uniform and stricter attendance policies will enhance discipline, equality, and transparency within schools.
The Education Department is also expected to engage with school administrators to guarantee a seamless implementation of the new regulations across the state. With the updated academic calendar, officials noted that instructional days will increase, thereby improving educational outcomes.
