Rajat Arora Recalls Injury on 'Dhurandhar' Set: Ranveer Singh's Swift Action
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, March 17 (NationPress) Actor Rajat Arora shared a vivid memory of sustaining an injury while filming the action-packed movie 'Dhurandhar'. In a candid interview with IANS, Rajat, who portrays the character Mukka in the film directed by Aditya Dhar, recounted how he fell during a stunt, prompting co-star Ranveer Singh to dash over and assist him.
Ranveer empathized with Rajat, mentioning that he understood the pain all too well, as his wife, actress Deepika Padukone, has experienced similar situations on set.
After the incident, Rajat fondly remembered how Ranveer took him to the first aid center.
When asked about injuries during the action sequences, Rajat responded, "Indeed, there was a moment where I got hurt, but I persevered through the scene until it was finished. After I fell, Ranveer rushed to my side, lifted me up, and said, 'I know this pain well, as my wife has also endured it without mentioning it during her shoots.'"
"Following that, he brought me to the first aid center. Those moments teach you resilience," Rajat noted.
During their discussion, Rajat also reflected on the valuable lessons he gained while working on this blockbuster.
He emphasized that collaborating with veteran actors enriched his experience significantly. "We ensured that our off-screen chemistry translated onto the screen. Without genuine connections among actors, it becomes apparent in the performance," he explained.
Rajat further elaborated on the importance of understanding his character's development. "For instance, I was encouraged to delve into my character’s background—why he belongs to the gang, and what motivates him. Even details that may not appear on screen contribute to enhancing the portrayal," he stated.
Another takeaway from the shoot for Rajat was the creative use of his surroundings. "In one scene, while others were seated conventionally, I opted for a unique position that allowed me to interact with the environment. The cinematographer appreciated this approach and framed the shot accordingly. These subtle nuances can significantly impact the final product," he concluded.
