Mumbai, July 30 (NationPress) Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna, who is often referred to as the national crush, shared that her typical beauty regimen leans towards a natural, minimalistic make-up style. However, she also loves to indulge in dramatic glam looks when she wants to feel empowered.
When asked about her preference between a no-make-up appearance and glamorous styles, Rashmika revealed to IANS: “Most days, I’m all about clean skin or no makeup, applying just a hint of tint on my lips and cheeks, allowing my skin to breathe. Makeup is similar to fragrance; it serves as a means of self-expression.”
She cherishes both natural and glamorous looks.
“There are days when you wish to embrace your raw, natural beauty. On other days, you crave a sense of power and elevation. I believe it’s wonderful to accept both aspects,” said the actress, who is also the founder of Dear Diary.
Regarding her distinct scent apart from her own fragrance line, Rashmika noted: “Honestly, each of the Dear Diary fragrances embodies a different facet of me, but Irreplaceable resonates most with my current self. It’s a fragrance that encourages me to remain true to myself, to be present authentically, even during challenging times.”
Rashmika expressed her long-standing affection for warm, subtly floral scents.
“I adore fragrances that feature a hint of vanilla, a touch of spice, and possibly a fresh note from lychee or bergamot. I appreciate scents that evoke deep emotions without overwhelming your presence.”
On the cinematic front, Rashmika, who recently appeared in the action crime drama film Kuberaa, will next star in Thama alongside Ayushmann Khurrana.
In Kuberaa, she shares the screen with Nagarjuna Akkineni, Dhanush, Jim Sarbh, and Dalip Tahil.
Discussing Thama, the film is described as a captivating love story set amid a bloody backdrop, where a determined historian delves into ancient manuscripts, revealing dark secrets about local vampire legends as supernatural elements begin to awaken.
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, known for Muniya, this marks Rashmika and Ayushmann's first collaboration with the filmmaker.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, the narrative for Thama has been crafted by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Fulara. Distributed by Maddock Films, the drama will also feature Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in significant roles, among others.
